LOADING A DATA MODEL

Overview

On the Data Model blade, Users can load and view a Data Model within the Model Space.

A User can load the entire Data Model or alternatively, load one or more Node Groups or Node Types.

info    Your Permission settings may result in some menu icons not being visible.

Loading the Data Model

  1. Select Database | Data Model from the menu to open the Data Model blade.
  2. Select the Display all Nodes icon from the Data Model Toolbar. The entire Data Model is displayed in the Model Space.

info   User assignment to different Function Groups may result in some Nodes not being visible when the Data Model is loaded.

Loading Node Group(s)

To load one or more Node Groups into the Model Space:

  1. Select Database | Data Model from the menu to open the Data Model blade.
  2. In the Nodes pane, single-click a Node Group.  All Nodes for all Node Types within the selected Node Group will be displayed in the Model Space.
  3. Single click additional Node Groups to add more nodes to the Model Space.

info   When loading more Node Groups, the default Append Mode  means any Nodes currently displayed in the Model Space will be retained. To load more Node Groups and replace Nodes currently displayed in the Model Space, select the Toolbar icon to change from Append Mode  to Replace Mode.

  1. To load multiple Node Groups simultaneously, select the Select Groups and Select Types icon in the Nodes pane. This action changes the pane background color.
  2. Hover over and select each Node Group. This action highlights each selected Group.
  3. In the Nodes pane, select the Filter and Display icon to load all Nodes from the selected Node Groups into the Model Space.
  4. Cancel the selection of multiple Node Groups by clicking the Exit icon in the Nodes pane.

Loading Node Type(s)

To load one or more Node Types into the Model Space rather than loading the entire Data Model:

  1. Select Database | Data Model from the menu to open the Data Model blade.
  2. In the Nodes pane, double click over a Node Group to reveal any Node Types that exist in the Group.
  3. In the Nodes pane, single-click over a Node Type.
  4. All nodes for the Node Type will be displayed in the Model Space.
  5. Single-click additional Node Types to add more nodes to the Model Space.

info   When loading more Node Types, the default Append Mode means any Nodes currently displayed in the Model Space will be retained.

Overview

On the Data Model blade, Users can load and view a Data Model within the Model Space.

  1. Select Database | Data Model from the menu to open the Data Model blade.
  2. Select the Display all Nodes icon from the Data Model Toolbar. The entire Data Model is displayed in the Model Space.

Loading Node Group(s)

To load one or more Node Groups into the Model Space:

  1. Select Database | Data Model from the menu to open the Data Model blade.

  3. In the Nodes pane, single-click over a Node Type.
  4. All nodes for the Node Type will be displayed in the Model Space.
  5. Single-click additional Node Types to add more nodes to the Model Space.
