DATA MODEL LAYERS
Layers On The Data Model Toolbar
- Layers play an important role in navigating and simplifying the Data Model. They allow a User to efficiently reveal or hide a collection of Nodes and Links.
- Layers were designed to let users efficiently segment the Data Model. As shown in the image below, there are 10 Layers available on the Data Model and a user can customize each Layer to meet their specific Data Model requirements.

How to Add A Node To A Layers
- Navigate to Database | Node Builder
- Locate the Node Group and the Node Type within that group. Or create a new Node Type.
- In the Node Type blade, use the up and down arrows to select which layer you would like to add the Node Type to.
- Click the Save icon
Managing Data Model Layers
- Select Database | Layer Management.
- The default ten (10) layers will be displayed on the Layer Management blade.
- To customize a layer, click on the layer you wish to edit.
- Enter a layer name and select the Custom Layer Colour from the menu.
- Click the Save icon
By default, all Node Types will be added to Layer One (1)
